Walls Crumble in His Great Name.

“When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.”  –Joshua 6:20 NIV

Welcome to Day 21 of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. The last day! Congratulations! Nice work. Wow- that seemed like a long journey on Day 1, but today, looking back, it seems to have gone gracefully and swiftly by. Optimistically, by now, you are embracing some new, healthier additions or subtractions to your life. Prayerfully, you are connected more closely with our Creator, hearing more clearly from Him, and filled with the fullness of God. Hopefully, you are experiencing greater clarity, more peace, more freedom, more joy, more wisdom, and even more creativity.

In the above scripture, the Israelites had crossed over the Jordan, into the land of Canaan, the promised land flowing with milk and honey. However, they encountered a problem. An impenetrable, unconquerable city, Jericho, surrounded by an incredible stone wall. However, God laid out a new battle plan, and with Joshua leading them, the Israelites were obedient. Even though it may have seemed “silly,” or gone against society/mainstream/typical battle plans, the strategy was successful. The people, in faith, were persistent and submissive to the Lord’s leading. What is striking is that the wall collapsed. Immediately.

Similarly, the picture above is a piece of the Berlin Wall, which separated East and West Germany for nearly three decades. But when the order came for travel to open and the wall to be torn down, the power of that wall fell. Immediately. No wall, no barrier, no devastation, no problem is too great for our God. No wall is insurmountable. No plan outsmarts him. No task is too heavy or too great for Him. He is the unstoppable God.

Our prayer for you is that through this fast, you have seen walls come down. You have seen miracles happen. You have seen pathways open that you thought were impossible. You have seen doors open that no man can shut. You have unlocked, unleashed, and uncovered the power of our Savior. And in this land of milk and honey, you are down on your knees- thanking Him, worshiping Him, and soaking in who He is.

For those walls that may still be standing- this is not the end. This is only the beginning. Pray fervently. Ask for prayer. Pray with others. Persist. Persevere. Submit. Honor God. Be obedient, even if what He is telling you to do sounds silly. Be faithful… and then… all of a sudden… immediately… you will see those walls come crashing down. Now go forth and conquer for the Kingdom, friends! You are sons and daughters of the Most High God! You are princes and princesses. Your Daddy is The King! Go out as soldiers in this war. And as you work to tear down those walls and conquer cities, join arms with your brothers and sisters. We are always stronger together. And when one wall falls, its bound to knock over the one right beside it. 😉

Here are a few scriptures we pray over you. Let them seep into your soul, feel His refreshing, and let His breath wash over you:

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”  – Philippians 4:19 NIV

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”  – Isaiah 41:10 NIV

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  – Philippians 4:7 NIV
